This is a series made as a reimagining of what old 1930s rubber hose shorts could look like if presented in a modern fashion.

I have always loved the combination of charm and creepy that 30s rubber hose cartoon shorts had.

I wanted to make sure the unsettling, creepy vibes were showcased and have decided to use a combination of cryptids, myths, monsters, and legends as the creepy side of this series. While I supply the charm with the designs and a bit of backstory for each piece.

1. KRAMPUS “Be a Nice Child”

Krampus is a german legend and st. Nicholases counterpart. If Santa spreads x-mas cheer then Krampus spreads x-mas fear. Naughty children beware else he chase you with his birch switch chain you up and throw you into his less-than magic sack to be punished for giving your parents a tough time.

2. MOTH MAN “The Man. The Moth. The Legend.”

Mothman is a West Virginia based legend ... cryptid ... something. Some people talk of the creature as a legend like sasquatch. Others think its related to UFO sightings. Others still beleive it is something that foreshadows calamity. One thing they can all agree on is if you see a dark winged figure with glowing red eyes in West Virginia its...Something.

Point Pleasant Register dated November 16, 1966, titled "Couples See Man-Sized Bird ... Creature ... Something"

3. BABA YAGA“a Leg Up!”

“Baba Yaga is said to roam around the forest in her house with chicken feet. She steals away naughty children to eat. Be careful going into the woods alone, for if you see her it is a mistake you will not live to repeat.”

Originating as a slavic folktale the baba yaga myth has many different iterations. But a common theme in most is that her house moves around on its own perched atop giant chicken feet.
